We all have our favorites, this one's mine for cruising pow. Bottomless or variable pow, this board eats it up. If I'm riding this board, the stoke levels are already high. So, adding camber underfoot has made the Powder Racer so much more fun on the partial or variable, chop chop that is out there. Another reason to love this board is the tight sidecut. The tighter radius gives it a more surfy vibe, reminding you to slow it down and have fun turning in the powder. I'm 6' 150, and ride the 54. Plenty of board to stay on top.I was lucky to see the new powder racer last year at Blaise Boot Camp and witness Blaise ripping around on it. I knew I had to check one out. I was lucky to see the new powder racer last year at Blaise Boot Camp and witness Blaise ripping around on it. I knew I had to check one out. I generally ride boards between 156-158 and have been for about 30 years. I also usually ride boards that are between 7-10 on the flex scale. I picked up my 154 Pow Racer yesterday and took it for a rip around my local resort. I was totally blown away. It is super playful when you want it to be and super stable when you need it to be. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handles speed without any chatter. You could tell where I was on the mountain from the trenches I was laying! This thing is a groomer slayer! I was blowing doors on people riding much bigger boards, which was awesome because I was worried it would be a little slower, only being a 154. It's not at all. Don't let the name or marketing fool you... this isn't just a pow board. I hit jumps, rails, a quarterpipe, and other misc snow features like it was a regular freestyle board. When set back a little bit, it's a super surfy fun feeling board. I cannot wait to get it in some powder, as I'm sure I'll be equally as happy with the performance. I honestly didn't expect such a solid board in such a small package. This is definitely a 1 board quiver and one of the most fun boards I've ever ridden. If you're contemplating buying this board, don't wait. You will not be disappointed. It's an all around ripper stick and total resort slayer!Not only does this board rip in POW but it will make trenches on the groomers. Very unique shape that wants to ride the whole mountain but totally FLOATS AND FLYS in the powder (hence the name ha!) The base graphic looks so cool! I love the way this board turns on groomers too.
