The Tenda F3 is a single-band Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) home router with a wireless speed of up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. It has three external 5 dBi antennas, one WAN port for your internet line and three LAN ports for wired devices, all 10/100 Mbps.
300 Mbps Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz: The F3 uses the 802.11b/g/n standards on the 2.4 GHz band with a maximum wireless link rate of 300 Mbps. This is the maximum wireless link rate between the router and a device, not the speed of your internet line.
Three 5 dBi antennas: Three external, non-detachable 5 dBi omni-directional antennas spread the signal around the home. Tenda states Wi-Fi coverage of up to 200 m².
Bandwidth control: IP-based bandwidth control lets you set how much bandwidth each device gets. When many people share one internet line, this stops a single device from using all of it.
Security and access control: The router supports WPA/WPA2 encryption and MAC address filtering, so only devices you allow can join the network. A combined WPS/RESET button is on the router.
Good to know
The F3 is single-band (2.4 GHz only) and has no 5 GHz Wi-Fi. All Ethernet ports are 10/100 Mbps (Fast Ethernet), not Gigabit, so wired speeds are limited to 100 Mbps. The 300 Mbps figure is the maximum wireless link rate.
