8MP Smart Hybrid Light Fixed Bullet Network Camera | Hikvision DS-2CD1083G2-Li

The Hikvision DS-2CD1083G2-LI is an 8 MP (3840 × 2160) outdoor bullet IP camera with Smart Hybrid Light, which combines IR and white light with a range of up to 30 m. It is powered over the network cable (PoE) or by 12 VDC, and its IP67 housing is made for outdoor installation.

Smart Hybrid Light, up to 30 m: The camera has both IR and white supplement lights, plus a smart supplement light function. In practice, you can keep discreet black-and-white IR night vision, or use the white light to see the scene in color at night, for example the color of a car or of clothing, within 30 m.

Human and vehicle detection: Motion detection can trigger alarms by target type, human or vehicle. This cuts down alerts from other moving objects, so the notifications you get are more likely to matter. Video tampering and exception alarms are also supported.

8 MP resolution: A 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor records up to 3840 × 2160, with a minimum illumination of 0.01 lux in color. At full 8 MP resolution the main stream runs at 12.5 fps (50 Hz) or 15 fps (60 Hz). 120 dB WDR, BLC, HLC and 3D DNR help keep details visible in strong backlight, such as an entrance facing the street, and reduce noise at night.

H.265+ compression: The main stream supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264, with SVC and one ROI region. H.265+ lowers the bandwidth and storage each camera uses, so your recorder holds more days of footage on the same hard disk.

Choice of lens, 2.8 mm or 4 mm: We sell this camera with a 2.8 mm lens or a 4 mm lens, both F2.0. The 2.8 mm lens covers a wider area (113° horizontal), while the 4 mm lens gives a narrower view (90° horizontal) with longer DORI distances (identify at 10 m vs 7 m). Built for outdoor use: The housing is rated IP67 against water and dust and works from -30 °C to 60 °C. The 3-axis bracket (pan 0° to 360°, tilt 0° to 90°, rotate 0° to 360°) lets you aim the camera at the area you want to cover.

Who it's for / Works with

The camera supports ONVIF (Profile S and Profile T), ISAPI and SDK, so it can be added to compatible NVRs and software. It can be viewed with Hikvision's iVMS-4200 client and the Hik-Connect app, by up to 6 live-view channels at the same time and up to 32 user accounts. Power comes from a PoE switch or PoE recorder port (IEEE 802.3af), or from a 12 VDC supply.

Good to know

The -LI version has no memory card slot (the datasheet lists the slot for the -F version only), so recording is done on an NVR or other recorder. It connects through a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port. Hikvision lists this model with no specific anti-corrosion protection; its higher protection levels are meant for coastal and chemical sites.
