The TP-Link Omada EAP610 is an AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 ceiling mount access point for businesses and homes. It delivers up to 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, has one Gigabit Ethernet port, and can be powered by PoE or by the included 12 V / 1 A DC power adapter.
Wi-Fi 6 with OFDMA and MU-MIMO: OFDMA and MU-MIMO let the EAP610 serve several devices at the same time instead of making them wait in turn. This keeps the network responsive when many phones and laptops are connected.
1024-QAM for higher speeds: 1024-QAM packs more data into each transmission, which raises the top speed for Wi-Fi 6 devices close to the access point. Beamforming focuses the signal toward connected clients.
Omada Mesh and seamless roaming: The EAP610 supports Omada Mesh and seamless roaming (802.11k/v/r) within an Omada network, so devices can move between access points as users walk around a building.
Flexible power: You can power the access point over the Ethernet cable from a PoE switch, or use the 12 V / 1 A DC power adapter that comes in the box where there is no PoE.
Business-grade security: WPA3, WPA2 and WPA Personal/Enterprise, 802.1X, wireless MAC filtering, client isolation, SSID-to-VLAN mapping and rogue AP detection help keep business and guest traffic separate and secure. Up to 16 SSIDs (8 per band) are supported.
Omada management: The EAP610 is managed through its web interface, the Omada app, or centrally with Omada cloud, hardware or software controllers.
Good to know
TP-Link has made several hardware versions of the EAP610. The PoE standard, dimensions and power consumption differ between versions, so they are not listed here; the box label shows the version. Wi-Fi 6 features need Wi-Fi 6 client devices, and the speeds are the maximum link rates stated by TP-Link.
