The TP-Link Omada EAP650 is an AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point for mounting on a ceiling or wall. It offers up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz, connects through one Gigabit Ethernet port, and can be powered by 802.3at PoE+ or a 12V DC adapter.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) dual-band: Wi-Fi 6 features such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM let the access point serve many devices at the same time more efficiently. The 5 GHz band supports 160 MHz channels for higher speeds with Wi-Fi 6 clients.
Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+: One Gigabit Ethernet port carries both data and power when connected to an 802.3at PoE+ switch or injector, so only one cable needs to reach the ceiling. It can also run from a 12V DC power adapter.
Omada management: The EAP650 can be managed on its own through its web interface or centrally with an Omada controller (hardware, software or cloud) and the Omada app. With a controller you get seamless roaming, Omada Mesh and captive portal.
Business Wi-Fi features: Up to 16 SSIDs (8 per band), band steering, load balancing, airtime fairness, beamforming, rate limits, SSID-to-VLAN mapping, client isolation and rogue AP detection, with WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 Personal/Enterprise security.
Flexible mounting: The included mounting kits allow ceiling, wall and junction box installation, so the access point can be placed where it covers the area best.
Who it's for / Works with
Networks that need several access points managed together. The EAP650 is part of the TP-Link Omada system and works with Omada hardware controllers (such as OC200 and OC300), the Omada Software Controller, the Omada cloud-based controller and the Omada app.

Wi-Fi rates are the maximum physical rates of the 802.11 standard; real speed depends on your internet plan, the clients and the environment. Wi-Fi 6 features (OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM) need Wi-Fi 6 clients. Seamless roaming, Omada Mesh, captive portal and cloud access require an Omada controller. A PoE switch or injector must support 802.3at (PoE+).
