CMX WSK-640DS Wall Mount Speaker | 40W Outdoor PA Speaker

The CMX WSK-640DS is a 6.5" 2-way wall mount speaker for indoor and outdoor public address systems. It is rated at 40 W (80 W max), connects to a 100 V or 70 V speaker line or as an 8 Ω speaker, and is IP66 weatherproof.

2-way speaker system: A 6.5" weatherproof woofer handles the low and mid tones, and a 1" silk tweeter handles the highs. The frequency response is 65 Hz to 20 kHz, so it suits both background music and voice announcements.

100 V / 70 V line or 8 Ω: On a 100 V or 70 V PA line you can choose the power tap: 40, 20, 10, 5 or 2.5 W. This lets you set the volume of each speaker on the line and spread the amplifier's power over many speakers. It can also be used as a low-impedance 8 Ω speaker.

IP66 weatherproof: The speaker is IP66 rated and has a waterproof cover for the cable wiring, so it can be installed outdoors as well as indoors. The enclosure is ABS, with a stainless metal grille and a stainless mounting bracket.

Adjustable bracket: The supplied bracket rotates 360°, so you can mount the speaker vertically or horizontally and aim it where the sound is needed. The dispersion angle is 180° vertical and 180° horizontal (at 1 kHz).

Sound level: Sensitivity is 94 ± 3 dB (1 W / 1 m), with a maximum SPL of 112 dB at 1 m.

Indoor and outdoor background music (BGM) and paging systems, connected to a 100 V / 70 V PA amplifier or used as an 8 Ω speaker.

Good to know

This is a passive speaker: it needs a PA amplifier to drive it. The WSK-640DS is the black model; the white version is sold by CMX as WSK-640DSW.
