Outdoor Waterproof Column Speaker (20-40W) | DSP208

The DSPPA DSP208 is a 20 W indoor/outdoor column speaker with a built-in 70 V / 100 V transformer. It has two 4" drivers and one 2.5" driver in an aluminium housing with an aluminium mesh cover, and mounts on a wall through its mounting hook.

Key Features

Weatherproof construction: DSPPA states the column speaker is waterproof-certified and suitable for outdoor use. The aluminium net cover does not rot, and the waterproof driver units are built for wet environments.

Line-voltage (70 V / 100 V) PA: The built-in transformer works in a high-voltage, low-current mode, which DSPPA says allows longer cable runs and lets many speakers be connected in parallel on one amplifier line. Each speaker can then be set to its own power, so every area gets the level it needs. On a 70 V line the DSP208 can be set to 10 W / 20 W; on a 100 V line it takes 20 W.

Two-way sound for speech and music: The drivers (4" x 2 + 2.5" x 1) use a dual-crossover design and cover 140 Hz to 14 kHz. Sensitivity is 89 ±2 dB and the maximum SPL is 102 ±2 dB, enough for paging and background music.

Who it's for / Works with

DSPPA lists hotels, schools, offices, restaurants and factories where background music and paging are needed. It works with a 70 V / 100 V PA amplifier.

Good to know

• DSPPA does not state an IP rating for this series, only a waterproof certificate.
• The amplifier is not part of this product: the speaker must be wired with speaker cable to a suitable PA amplifier.
