The DSPPA DSP304HI is a 30 W waterproof aluminium horn speaker for outdoor PA systems. It has a double driver unit structure, a built-in 70 V / 100 V transformer with power taps, and a bracket for installation.

Key Features

Loud and clear outdoors: With a sensitivity of 105 ±2 dB and a maximum SPL of 120 ±2 dB, the horn carries announcements over open areas. DSPPA rates its speech intelligibility at STIPA 0.86 at 10 m.

Line-voltage (70 V / 100 V) PA: The built-in transformer works in a high-voltage, low-current mode, which DSPPA says allows longer cable runs and lets many speakers be connected in parallel on one amplifier line. Each speaker can then be set to its own power, so every area gets the level it needs. On a 70 V line the taps are 2 W, 4 W, 8 W or 15 W; on a 100 V line 4 W, 8 W, 15 W or 30 W.

Aluminium, weatherproof build: The horn is made of aluminium and carries a waterproof certificate, so it is suitable for outdoor installation. It is fixed with its bracket using three Φ8 mm screws and then aimed in the needed direction.

DSPPA lists stations, parks, schools, squares, military camps and industrial parks. It works with a 70 V / 100 V PA amplifier; DSPPA shows it paired with its MP250UB amplifier in the video above.

• DSPPA does not state an IP rating for this model, only a waterproof certificate.
• The amplifier is not part of this product: the speaker must be wired with speaker cable to a suitable PA amplifier.
