This is the EZVIZ HB8 Lite 4G Kit: a battery-powered outdoor pan/tilt camera with a 4 MP sensor recording at 2K+ (2560 × 1440), sold together with a 5 W solar panel. It connects over 4G (with a Nano SIM card) or Wi-Fi 6, turns 340° horizontally and 80° vertically, and runs on a 5,200 mAh rechargeable battery that the solar panel keeps charged.
4G and Wi-Fi in one camera: The camera works on Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and also has a 4G connection through a Nano SIM card. EZVIZ states that when Wi-Fi is weak or goes offline it switches to 4G automatically, so it suits places with no Wi-Fi at all, such as a farm, a construction site or a remote house.
Solar power with a 5 W panel: The included 5 W monocrystalline solar panel (IP65, Type-C, 3 m cable) recharges the 5,200 mAh battery. EZVIZ states that about two hours of direct sunlight a day keeps the camera running, so it can be installed where there is no power outlet. Actual results depend on sunlight and on how often the camera records.
Always-on video (AOV): Most battery cameras only record short clips when motion is detected. With EZVIZ AOV, the camera records all day as a time-lapse when nothing is happening and switches to normal-speed video when there is activity, so you can review the whole day without plugging the camera into power.
360° view with smart tracking: One camera covers all directions by panning 340° and tilting 80°, which you control from the EZVIZ app. When a person enters the detection zone, smart tracking turns the camera to follow them.
AI human and vehicle detection: The camera tells people and vehicles apart from other moving objects, so you get alerts for what matters instead of every movement. Detection zones can be customized in the app.
Color night vision and active defense: Built-in spotlights give color images at night, with a black-and-white infrared mode up to 15 m as an alternative. If an intruder is detected, the camera can sound a siren and flash its lights, and two-way talk lets you speak to anyone at the camera from your phone.
Storage and smart home: Recordings are saved on a microSD card of up to 512 GB (sold separately) or on EZVIZ CloudPlay (subscription). H.265 compression saves storage space, and the camera works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Good to know
4G needs a compatible Nano SIM card with an active data plan, which is not included. The power adapter (DC 5 V / 2 A) and the microSD card are sold separately. The supported 4G bands depend on the regional version of the camera; check them against your operator before relying on 4G. Wi-Fi works on 2.4 GHz.
