The DUALSHOCK 4 is Sony's wireless controller for the PlayStation 4. Besides the analog sticks and triggers, it has a clickable touch pad, a light bar, a built-in speaker, a 3.5 mm headset jack and motion sensors, and it charges from the USB port of your PS4.

Analog sticks and triggers: Sony designed the sticks and triggers for a tighter sense of control over in-game actions. This matters most in games that need precise aiming or steering.

Touch pad and light bar: The multi-touch, clickable touch pad on the front adds another way to control games that support it. The integrated light bar glows in different colors depending on what happens in the game, and on this controller it is also visible on the touch pad.

Built-in speaker and headset jack: Some game sound effects play directly from the controller's built-in speaker. You can also plug your headphones or headset into the integrated 3.5 mm audio jack.

Motion sensors: A built-in accelerometer and gyroscope detect the motion, tilt and rotation of the controller, so games that support motion control respond to how you move it.

Rechargeable battery: The controller has an internal rechargeable battery that you charge from your PS4's USB port, so there are no batteries to replace.
