SONOFF RL560 Sensor Extension Cable (RJ9 4P4C) – 5M

The SONOFF RL560 is a 5 m extension cable for SONOFF sensors that use an RJ9 (4P4C) connector. It lets you place the temperature, humidity or soil-moisture sensor further away from the controller, for example outside a room, in a tank or in a garden bed.

More reach for SONOFF RJ9 sensors: SONOFF states that the THS01 temperature and humidity sensor and the WTS01 waterproof temperature sensor can be extended up to 60 m, and the MS01 soil moisture sensor up to 10 m. This gives you freedom to install the controller where there is power and Wi-Fi, and run the sensor to where the reading is needed.

Hot-pluggable RJ9 connection: The RJ9 (4P4C) connector supports hot-plugging, so the sensor can be connected or disconnected while the controller is powered, and SONOFF states it makes the connection more stable and reliable.

Low-resistance cable: The conductor resistance is 10 Ω maximum and the insulation resistance is at least 5 MΩ.

SONOFF sensors with an RJ9 connector: THS01 (temperature & humidity), WTS01 (waterproof temperature) and MS01 (soil moisture).

Good to know

The maximum extension depends on the sensor: up to 60 m for THS01 and WTS01, but only up to 10 m for MS01.
