SONOFF ZBM5 Zigbee smart wall switch (US)

The SONOFF ZBM5 is a Zigbee 3.0 smart wall switch in the 120 type size, offered here in 1-gang, 2-gang and 3-gang versions (ZBM5-1C-120W, ZBM5-2C-120W, ZBM5-3C-120W). It replaces a standard wall switch, works with or without a neutral wire, and switches up to 10 A resistive load. It is controlled through a compatible SONOFF Zigbee hub and the eWeLink app.

Options: 1 Gang (ZBM5-1C-120W), 2 Gang (ZBM5-2C-120W), 3 Gang (ZBM5-3C-120W), all in white.

Key Features

Neutral or no-neutral wiring: The ZBM5 supports both a neutral-required wiring mode and a no-neutral wiring mode, so it can replace a normal switch even in boxes that have no neutral wire. In no-neutral mode the connected load must be at least 3 W, and smart bulbs cannot be used as the load.

Zigbee router with a neutral wire: When it is wired with a neutral, the ZBM5 also works as a Zigbee router and relays the signal for other Zigbee devices, which makes your Zigbee network stronger. Without a neutral it works as a Zigbee end device.

Detach relay mode: With detach relay enabled, the smart bulbs on that circuit keep their power when the wall button is pressed, so they stay smart and controllable from the app, while the button can still control them through smart scenes. Detach relay with smart lights works only in neutral-required mode.

App, schedules, scenes and voice: Once added to a compatible SONOFF Zigbee hub, you can switch each gang from the eWeLink app, set timers and schedules, build smart scenes with Zigbee sensors and buttons, and use voice control through a linked smart-speaker account.

Home Assistant ready: With a SONOFF ZBDongle-E or ZBDongle-P, the ZBM5 can be added to Home Assistant through ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT, so it can work alongside Zigbee devices from other brands. Available functions can differ when it is added this way.

Who it's for / Works with

SONOFF Zigbee hubs such as NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZBBridge-P and ZBBridge-U, and the ZBDongle-E / ZBDongle-P USB dongles for Home Assistant (ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT).

Good to know

• A compatible SONOFF Zigbee hub is required; the switch does not connect to Wi-Fi by itself.
• In no-neutral mode the minimum load is 3 W and smart lights are not supported as the load.
• On the 2-gang and 3-gang models the total load of all gangs together is 10 A max (resistive).
• This is the 120 type version (120 x 74 mm front); check that it fits your wall box before ordering.
