Sonoff ZBMINIR2 ultra-compact Zigbee 3.0 smart switch

The SONOFF ZBMINIR2 (ZBMINI Extreme) is a small Zigbee 3.0 relay module that fits inside the wall box behind your existing light switch and makes that circuit smart. It switches loads up to 10 A (2400 W at 240 V), measures only 39.5 x 33 x 16.8 mm and needs a neutral wire.

Fits behind your existing switch: The module is small enough for EU-type, 86-type and 120-type mounting boxes. Your normal wall switch stays in place and is wired to the S1/S2 terminals, so you can still switch the light by hand as well as from the app.

Works with different wall switches: The external switch input accepts momentary (push-button), rocker, SPDT and door-contact switches, so it can be used with most switch types already installed in a home.

Zigbee router for a stronger network: The ZBMINIR2 acts as a Zigbee router and signal repeater and supports up to 64 Zigbee sub-devices. Each one you install helps extend Zigbee coverage to sensors and other devices further from the hub.

Turbo Mode: Turbo Mode increases the Zigbee signal strength to extend the module's range.

Detach Relay mode for smart bulbs: This mode separates the wall switch from the relay, so pressing the switch does not cut the power. A smart bulb on the circuit stays powered and online even when the wall switch is off.

Delay power-on: After a power cut, the module can delay switching the load back on, which helps protect connected loads from the inrush current when the power returns.

Who it's for / Works with

Homes with a Zigbee 3.0 gateway or hub, such as SONOFF Zigbee bridges and NSPanel Pro. It is controlled from the eWeLink app, works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home through a compatible hub, and can be used with Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT.

Good to know

A Zigbee gateway/hub is required for smart control; the ZBMINIR2 is a Zigbee device and does not connect to Wi-Fi directly. A neutral wire is required in the switch box. Switch off the mains power before installing it.
