Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus – Universal Zigbee Gateway for Home Automation | ZBDongle-P

The SONOFF ZBDongle-P is a universal USB Zigbee 3.0 stick built on the Texas Instruments CC2652P chip with a CP2102(N) USB bridge. Plug it into a computer, mini-PC or Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant (ZHA) or Zigbee2MQTT and it becomes the coordinator of your Zigbee network, so you can control Zigbee devices from different brands locally without buying a separate hub for each brand.

It comes pre-flashed with Z-Stack 3.x.0 coordinator firmware, so it is ready to use out of the box.

Ready-to-use coordinator for ZHA & Zigbee2MQTT: The coordinator firmware is already installed, so you can add the dongle to ZHA in Home Assistant or to Zigbee2MQTT and start pairing Zigbee 3.0 sensors, switches, plugs and lights straight away.

TI CC2652P + CP2102(N): The TI CC2652P Zigbee chip works with a CP2102(N) USB-to-serial chip, which handles the communication between the dongle and the host computer.

+20dBm output and external SMA antenna: The radio supports up to +20dBm output gain and uses an external antenna on an SMA connector, which helps the signal reach devices further away.

Shielded aluminium housing: The aluminium-alloy shell helps reduce signal interference from nearby electronics, such as the USB ports and hardware of the host computer.

Can also run as a router: The dongle ships as a coordinator, but it can be flashed with Zigbee router firmware. As a router it extends the range of an existing Zigbee network instead of creating its own.

Good to know

This is the TI CC2652P version of the Dongle Plus (Z-Stack firmware). The Silicon Labs version is a different model, the ZBDongle-E.

The dongle needs a host device running smart home software such as Home Assistant or Zigbee2MQTT; it does not work on its own with the eWeLink app.

With the official firmware the default limit is 21 direct child devices and up to 40 child devices in total.

SONOFF recommends using a USB extension cable between the USB port and the dongle to reduce interference.
