Sonoff Zigbee & Thread USB Dongle (Lite MG21 / Plus MG24) | Dongle-LMG21 / Dongle-PMG24
SONOFF Dongle Lite MG21 and Dongle Plus MG24 are USB Zigbee coordinators built on Silicon Labs chips (EFR32MG21 and EFR32MG24). Plugged into a computer, mini-PC or Raspberry Pi that runs Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT or openHAB, the dongle becomes the centre of your Zigbee network and lets that software control your Zigbee devices locally.
Choose the Lite MG21 for a compact, budget-friendly coordinator, or the Plus MG24 for the newer, more powerful chip and a higher-gain antenna.
Color: Dim gray

Zigbee 3.0 Coordinator, Ready Out of the Box: Both dongles ship with Zigbee coordinator firmware (EmberZNet / EZSP) already installed, so they can be added to ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT and start pairing Zigbee 3.0 devices straight away.
Multi-Firmware Options: Using SONOFF's Dongle Flasher web tool, each dongle can be switched to Zigbee Router, OpenThread RCP (Thread) or MultiPAN RCP firmware. With Thread RCP firmware and a Thread Border Router it can control Matter-over-Thread devices, and MultiPAN runs Zigbee and Thread at the same time.

Lite MG21 – Compact Design: The Lite uses the EFR32MG21 chip in a housing SONOFF says is 65% smaller than its ZBDongle-E, with an adjustable antenna that rotates within 180°. A 0.5 m USB extension cable is included to move the dongle away from USB 3.0 ports, which can cause interference.

Plus MG24 – More Power and Range: The Plus uses the newer EFR32MG24 chip with 1536 KB flash and 256 KB RAM, giving more headroom for larger networks. Its antenna has 3 dBi gain by default (up to 4.5 dBi) for a range of up to 200 m in open space, and it comes in an aluminum alloy housing with a 1 m USB extension cable.

Who it's for / Works with: Smart home users who run their own open-source hub: Home Assistant (ZHA), Zigbee2MQTT and openHAB; the Plus MG24 is also listed for ioBroker. It suits anyone building a local, cloud-free Zigbee setup on a computer, server or Raspberry Pi.

Good to know: This is not a stand-alone hub — it needs host software (such as Home Assistant or Zigbee2MQTT) running on a computer, server or Raspberry Pi, and a Zigbee network has only one coordinator. It is not Thread/Matter out of the box: Thread use requires flashing OpenThread RCP firmware and a Thread Border Router.
