Tenda 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch- SG105M

The Tenda SG105M is a small unmanaged desktop switch with five 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports. It adds more wired Ethernet ports to your router, with a switching capacity of 10 Gbps, and works as soon as it is plugged in, with no setup.

All gigabit ports: Each of the five ports runs at up to 1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation, so computers, TVs, NVRs or IP cameras connect at the fastest speed they support. Tenda states the switch is 10 times faster than a 100 Mbps switch, which helps when moving large files or HD surveillance video over the network.

Plug and play: The SG105M is unmanaged, so there is nothing to configure. Connect one port to your router and the other ports to your devices, and it starts working.

Auto MDI/MDIX: All ports detect the cable type automatically, so you can use ordinary straight-through Ethernet cables for any device.

Status lights: A power LED and a Link/Act LED for each port show at a glance whether a device is connected and passing data, which makes simple faults easy to spot.

Desktop or wall mounting: The compact plastic case measures 82 x 52 x 22 mm and can sit on a desk or be mounted on a wall.

Who it's for / Works with

Tenda lists schools, homes, small businesses and small surveillance systems as typical uses. It works with any device that has an RJ45 Ethernet port.

Good to know

This is an unmanaged switch: it has no web interface, VLAN or other settings. It has no PoE, so it cannot power IP cameras or access points. It is not rack-mountable. For gigabit speed use Cat 5e cable or better.
