The TP-Link JetStream TL-SG2428P is a 28-port Gigabit smart switch with 24 802.3at/af PoE+ ports, 4 Gigabit SFP slots and a 250 W total PoE budget. It offers 56 Gbps switching capacity and can be managed through its web interface or centrally with Omada.

24 PoE+ Ports, 250 W: Twenty-four Gigabit RJ45 ports deliver 802.3at/af PoE+ to cameras, access points and IP phones, sharing a 250 W total budget.

4 Gigabit SFP Slots: Four SFP slots add fiber uplinks for longer distances or a connection to the core switch (SFP modules sold separately).

Smart Switch Features: VLANs (up to 4K groups, 802.1Q, Voice VLAN), QoS with 8 priority queues, bandwidth control and storm control help keep PoE traffic organised.

Omada Cloud or Standalone Management: The switch can be managed on its own through its web interface, CLI (telnet) and SNMP, or added to an Omada controller (Omada Cloud-Based Controller, OC300, OC200 or Omada Software Controller) to configure and monitor it centrally together with Omada access points and gateways, including from the Omada app and the cloud.

Who it's for: Small and medium businesses, shops and CCTV installations that need 24 PoE+ ports with smart management at a lower cost than a full L2+ switch.

Good to know: The 250 W PoE budget is shared by all ports, so it may not cover 24 devices all drawing 30 W at once. SFP modules are not included. CLI access is through telnet only (no console port). TP-Link lists a newer version of this switch (SG2428P); this listing is for the TL-SG2428P.
