TP-Link 5-port Desktop Gigabit Switch | TL-SG1005D

The TP-Link TL-SG1005D is an unmanaged desktop switch with five Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) RJ45 ports. It adds wired ports to your router at full Gigabit speed, so computers, consoles and other network devices can share fast cabled connections. It is plug and play: no software and no settings.

5 Gigabit ports: Every port supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation, so each connected device runs at the fastest speed it supports. Gigabit ports mean the switch does not slow down a fast internet line or large file transfers between devices on your network.

Any Ethernet cable works: Auto MDI/MDIX on all ports detects the cable type automatically, so you never need a crossover cable and any port can connect to your router.

Reliable transfers: IEEE 802.3x flow control and back pressure manage busy ports so data is not lost when traffic peaks. The switch uses store-and-forward transmission.

Silent, compact design: With no fan, the TL-SG1005D runs silently. At 140 × 88 × 23 mm it fits easily on a desk, a shelf or behind a TV, and it is powered by the included external power adapter.

Who it's for / Works with

Homes and small offices that need more Gigabit wired ports than the router offers. It works with any device that has an RJ45 Ethernet port.

Good to know

This is an unmanaged switch, so it has no web interface, VLAN or other configuration options. The power adapter is included in the box.
