The TP-Link Archer NX505 is an indoor 5G router: insert a Nano SIM card and it shares a 5G connection of up to 6.47 Gbps download (4G LTE up to 2 Gbps) over AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet ports. It has six internal 5G/LTE antennas plus two TS-9 connectors for optional external antennas, and a Gigabit WAN/LAN port for a cable, fiber or DSL modem.

5G with 4G fallback: Supports 5G NR (up to 6.47 Gbps down / 1.25 Gbps up), 4G LTE (up to 2 Gbps / 211 Mbps) and 3G, so it keeps working where 5G is not available.
SIM plug & play: Insert an activated Nano SIM and power on to get online, with no fixed line needed — useful for homes, offices, shops and farms without a cable line.
AX3000 Wi-Fi 6: Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 at 2402 Mbps (5 GHz) + 574 Mbps (2.4 GHz). TP-Link states the router handles 200+ wireless devices.
Gigabit WAN/LAN with backup: 2× Gigabit LAN ports plus 1× Gigabit WAN/LAN port. Connect a fiber or DSL modem to use it as a normal Wi-Fi router, with the 5G/LTE connection acting as a backup.
EasyMesh, VPN and Tether app: Expand coverage with EasyMesh-compatible extenders and routers, run a PPTP, IPSec or OpenVPN server, set parental controls and guest Wi-Fi, and manage it from the Tether app or a web browser.

Homes and small offices that want fast mobile internet from a SIM card, or a fixed line with automatic 5G/4G backup. Works with cable, fiber and DSL modems through the WAN/LAN port and with EasyMesh devices.
Good to know
- A SIM card and data plan are not included. The SIM must be activated and without a PIN lock. Check that your operator uses one of the supported bands below; actual bands may vary slightly by region.
- Mobile speeds are maximum values and depend on coverage, plan and network load. Wi-Fi rates are maximum physical rates.
- Indoor use only. External antennas are optional and not included.
