TP-Link 8-port Desktop Gigabit Switch | TL-SG1008D

The TP-Link TL-SG1008D is an unmanaged desktop switch with eight Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) RJ45 ports and a total switching capacity of 16 Gbps. It turns one port on your router into many fast wired connections for computers, consoles, NAS drives and other network devices. It is plug and play, with nothing to configure.

8 Gigabit ports, 16 Gbps capacity: Each port supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation, so every connected device runs at the fastest speed it supports. TP-Link rates the switching capacity at 16 Gbps, which equals eight Gigabit ports working in full duplex (8 × 1 Gbps × 2).

Any Ethernet cable works: Auto MDI/MDIX on every port detects the cable type automatically, so there is no need for crossover cables and any port can be used to connect to the router.

Smooth large transfers: Jumbo frames up to 15 KB help when you move large files, for example to and from a NAS. IEEE 802.3x flow control and back pressure handle busy ports, and the MAC address table stores up to 4K addresses, far more than a home or small-office network needs.

Silent desktop design: The TL-SG1008D is fanless, so it makes no noise, and it measures 180 × 90 × 25.5 mm. It is powered by the included external power adapter.

Who it's for / Works with

Homes and small offices that need more Gigabit wired ports than the router offers. It works with any device that has an RJ45 Ethernet port.

Good to know

This is an unmanaged switch: there is no web interface, VLAN or other settings. The power adapter is included in the box.
