The TP-Link RE200 is a compact dual-band Wi-Fi range extender that plugs into a wall socket and repeats your router's Wi-Fi into rooms with a weak signal. It is rated AC750, with up to 433 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and it has three internal antennas and one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.

Dual-band AC750 Wi-Fi: The RE200 extends both the 5 GHz band (up to 433 Mbps) and the 2.4 GHz band (up to 300 Mbps) of your network. Phones, laptops and TVs in the far rooms can connect to whichever band reaches them best.

Internal antennas, wall-plug design: The three antennas are built into the housing, so the extender has no parts sticking out and sits neatly on the wall socket.

Signal lights for placement: The signal lights show how well the extender receives the router, which helps you pick a wall socket where it still gets a good signal.

Ethernet port and Access Point mode: The 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port lets the RE200 work as a wireless adapter for a wired device such as a desktop PC, game console or TV. With a network cable from your router, it can also run as a dual-band Wi-Fi access point.

Easy setup: Pair the extender with your router using the WPS button, or set it up and manage it from the TP-Link Tether app or a web browser.

Who it's for / Works with

Homes and small offices with Wi-Fi dead spots. The RE200 works with standard Wi-Fi routers and access points.

Good to know

The Ethernet port is 10/100 Mbps, not Gigabit. Real speeds depend on your router and on where the extender is placed; the rates above are maximum wireless link rates. Mesh support depends on the hardware version: TP-Link lists OneMesh for versions 3 and 4 and EasyMesh for version 5, so check the version on the box label if you need mesh.
