The TP-Link Archer TBE230U is a compact Wi-Fi 7 USB adapter that adds dual-band BE3600 Wi-Fi to a Windows laptop or desktop. It reaches up to 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, connects over SuperSpeed USB 3.0, and has a dual-port design that plugs into either a USB-C or a USB-A port.

Wi-Fi 7 Speed (BE3600): Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 gives up to 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. To get Wi-Fi 7 speeds, your router must also support Wi-Fi 7; with older routers the adapter still works at their standard (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

Multi-Link Operation (MLO): MLO lets the adapter use the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands smartly so the connection stays on the best available link, for lower latency in gaming and streaming. MLO needs a Wi-Fi 7 router that supports it and Windows 11 version 24H2 or later.

USB-C and USB-A in One: The adapter is designed for USB-C and comes with a swap-in USB-A connector, so you can use it on new laptops with only USB-C ports and on older PCs with USB-A, without buying an extra adapter.

SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and WPA3: USB 3.0 keeps the USB link from limiting your Wi-Fi speed (your computer port must also support USB 3.0), and WPA3 encryption protects your password against brute-force attacks when the router supports WPA3.

Plug and Play: The driver is built in for Windows 11/10 (64-bit), so there is no CD to install.

Who it's for / Works with: Laptop and desktop users with a Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6 router who want a small adapter that works with both USB-C and USB-A ports on Windows 11/10 (64-bit).

Good to know: Windows 10/11 64-bit only. This is a dual-band adapter: it does not use the 6 GHz band. MLO needs Windows 11 24H2 or later and a compatible router. Wi-Fi speeds are maximum link rates; real speed depends on your router and environment.
