The TP-Link Archer TX50UH is an AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter that adds fast dual-band Wi-Fi to a Windows PC. It reaches up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, uses two high-gain dual-band antennas, and sits in a USB 3.0 cradle with a 1.2-metre cable so you can place it where the signal is best.

AX3000 Wi-Fi 6: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) gives up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, so a desktop PC can take advantage of a Wi-Fi 6 router's speed for downloads, streaming and gaming.

High-gain antennas with Beamforming: The two adjustable high-gain dual-band antennas and Beamforming concentrate the signal for greater coverage and stability, which helps when the PC is far from the router.

MU-MIMO and OFDMA: With a compatible router, MU-MIMO and OFDMA let the router serve your PC more efficiently alongside other devices, which TP-Link says lowers latency for games and video.

USB 3.0 cradle: TP-Link states USB 3.0 transfers data up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. The detachable cradle with a 1.2 m cable lets you place the adapter on the desk instead of behind the PC case.

WPA3 security: WPA3 is supported for the latest Wi-Fi password protection, along with WPA/WPA2 and Enterprise modes.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs with a free USB port, connecting to any 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi router; Wi-Fi 6 speeds need a Wi-Fi 6 router.

• Supported operating systems are Windows 10 and 11 only; macOS and Linux are not listed by TP-Link.
• Infrastructure mode only (connects to a router or access point).
