The TP-Link Omada EAP670 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) ceiling-mount access point for offices, shops, hotels and other business spaces. It delivers up to 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (AX5400 class), connects to your network through a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, and can be powered by 802.3at PoE+ or by its included DC power adapter.

Key Features

6-stream AX5400 Wi-Fi 6: The EAP670 uses 4 spatial streams on 5 GHz and 2 on 2.4 GHz. With 160 MHz channels (HE160), 1024-QAM, OFDMA and uplink/downlink MU-MIMO, it serves many devices at the same time with higher efficiency than Wi-Fi 5. These features need Wi-Fi 6 clients to give their full benefit.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port: A single 2.5G RJ45 port carries data (and power when using PoE+), so the wired link does not limit the wireless speed the way a 1 Gbps port would. Connect it to a 2.5G switch port to use the full link speed.

Flexible power: Power the EAP670 from an 802.3at PoE+ switch or injector over one Ethernet cable, or use the 12 V DC power adapter that comes in the box where PoE is not available.

Omada Mesh and seamless roaming: With an Omada controller, several EAP670 units (and other Omada APs) can link wirelessly through Omada Mesh and hand clients over with 802.11k/v/r seamless roaming, so video and voice calls continue as people move around the building.

Business-class security: Up to 16 SSIDs (8 per band), WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal and Enterprise, 802.1X, SSID-to-VLAN mapping, wireless client isolation, MAC address filtering, rogue AP detection and captive portal authentication (with an Omada controller) let you separate staff and guest networks safely.

Omada SDN centralized management: Manage the EAP670 alone through its web interface or the Omada app, or centrally together with Omada switches and gateways through the Omada Software Controller, Hardware Controller (OC200/OC300) or Cloud-Based Controller, including cloud access and multi-site management.

Good to know

• Omada Mesh, seamless roaming, cloud access and captive portal require an Omada controller (software, hardware or cloud-based).
• To use the 2.5 Gbps wired speed, connect it to a 2.5G-capable switch port; PoE power needs an 802.3at (PoE+) source.
• Wi-Fi rates are maximum physical link rates per TP-Link; real throughput, coverage and client count depend on the environment and client devices. 160 MHz is available on 5 GHz only and may be restricted in some countries.
• Designed for indoor use (operating temperature 0–40 °C).
