The TP-Link Omada EAP215-Bridge KIT is a pair of 5 GHz wireless bridges that link two sites without running a cable between them, for example a main building and a gate, warehouse or camera pole. TP-Link rates it at up to 867 Mbps (Wi-Fi 5) over a distance of up to 5 km, and each bridge has three Gigabit Ethernet ports and an IP65 weatherproof enclosure.

Long-range point-to-point link: The two bridges use 14 dBi directional antennas to send a 5 GHz link of up to 867 Mbps across a distance of up to 5 km. This lets you bring the internet or the camera network to a second building or an outdoor site where digging for cable is not practical. The 5 km figure is the brand's maximum; real range and speed depend on a clear line of sight between the two units.

Preconfigured auto-pairing: The kit comes preconfigured, so the two bridges pair with each other automatically when powered on. A role switch on each unit sets it as the main AP or the client, and LED signal indicators help you aim them at each other.

App-guided alignment and speed test: The Omada app shows the signal strength while you align the two bridges and can run a speed test after installation. This makes it easier to confirm the link is working well before you close up the job.

Three Gigabit Ethernet ports: Each bridge has three Gigabit RJ45 ports, so at the remote end you can connect IP cameras or other wired devices directly, without adding a separate switch.

Flexible power options: Each bridge can be powered by 802.3af PoE from a PoE switch, by 24V Passive PoE using the included PoE adapter, or by 12V DC, which TP-Link states is compatible with its solar power supply system. Maximum power consumption is 11.5 W.

Built for outdoor use: The IP65 weatherproof enclosure, 6 kV lightning protection and an operating range of -40 °C to 70 °C let the bridges be mounted outdoors on a pole all year round. Pole mounting accessories are included.

Standalone or Omada SDN management: You can run the kit on its own through the web interface or the Omada app, or add it to an Omada SDN network (software, hardware or cloud controller) for central management of several bridge pairs.

TP-Link positions the kit for linking remote sites such as farms, additional offices, construction sites and parking lots, and for connecting IP cameras at a remote site back to the main network. It works standalone or with Omada SDN controllers and the Omada app.

Good to know

The two bridges must be installed facing each other with no obstructions between them. The speed and distance figures are maximum values from the brand; actual throughput and range depend on the environment, interference and installation. The bracket for wall mounting is sold separately (pole mounting accessories are included). This listing describes the current hardware version shown in the photos (with role switch, DC input and 3 Gigabit ports); older versions of the kit had different power options.
