TP-Link Omada Multi-Gigabit VPN Router (Gateway) with 2× 2.5G Ports | ER7412-M2
The TP-Link Omada ER7412-M2 is a multi-gigabit wired VPN gateway with a quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU. It has 2× 2.5G RJ45 WAN/LAN ports, 10× Gigabit WAN/LAN ports (2× SFP, 8× RJ45) and a USB 3.0 port, load-balances up to 11 WAN connections, and supports SSL, IPsec, GRE, WireGuard, PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN.

Multi-WAN with 2.5G Ports: Two 2.5 Gbps ports, two Gigabit SFP ports, eight Gigabit RJ45 ports and USB (with an LTE dongle for backup) give up to 11 WAN connections. Intelligent load balancing spreads traffic by each line's bandwidth, with link backup and online detection. NAT throughput reaches about 2.35 Gbps.
High-Performance VPN: Up to 150 IPsec tunnels (about 1.13 Gbps IPsec throughput), 80 SSL VPN tunnels, 150 PPTP and 150 L2TP tunnels, 121 OpenVPN tunnels, WireGuard and GRE, for secure links between branches and remote work.
Security: DPI, IPS/IDS and DoS Defense: Deep Packet Inspection recognises 2421 application types, the IDS/IPS engine detects and blocks threats, content filtering applies category- and time-based rules, and DoS protection blocks TCP/UDP/ICMP flooding and scans.
Omada SDN Management: Manage it through the web interface in standalone mode, or centrally with an Omada hardware, software or cloud-based controller for cloud access, the Omada app, zero-touch provisioning (cloud controller) and SD-WAN between sites.
Who it's for / Works with: Dense networks such as schools, hotels and offices that need multi-gigabit internet, several WAN lines and site-to-site VPN.
Good to know: This is a wired gateway with no built-in Wi-Fi; add Omada access points for wireless. The Omada app and cloud access require an Omada controller. GRE and some functions work only in standalone mode, while SD-WAN works only in controller mode. At least one WAN/LAN port must work as a LAN port. 4G/3G USB dongles must be on TP-Link's compatibility list.
