UGREEN CAT8 Shielded Round Braided Cable Modular Plugs | NW153

The UGREEN NW153 is a Cat 8 Ethernet patch cable with RJ45 plugs on both ends, rated by UGREEN for up to 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps data transfer. Each of its four twisted pairs is individually foil-shielded (F/FTP) around pure copper conductors, and the whole cable is covered by a braided outer jacket.

Available lengths: 1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m.

Cat 8 speed and bandwidth: UGREEN rates this cable for 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps transfer speed. In practice, the cable is not the bottleneck for a home or office connection: the real speed you get is set by your internet plan and by the ports on your router, switch or computer.

F/FTP shielding against interference: The four twisted pairs are each wrapped in foil, with an aluminium foil shielding layer around them. This reduces crosstalk between the pairs and interference from nearby cables, which helps keep the connection stable when the cable runs next to power cables or other network cables.

Durable braided jacket: The cable is covered with a braided outer layer that makes it stronger than a plain jacket. UGREEN states the cable withstands at least 10,000 bends, so it suits cables that are moved or plugged in often, such as at a desk or behind a TV.

PoE support: The cable can carry Power over Ethernet, so a PoE device such as an IP camera or access point can receive power and data through the same cable from a PoE switch or injector.

Any device with an RJ45 Ethernet port: computers, laptops, modems, routers, network switches, network adapters and game consoles. UGREEN states it is backward compatible with Cat 7, Cat 6, Cat 5e and Cat 5 networks, so it works with your existing equipment.

Good to know

The connection speed is limited by the slowest device on the link: with a 1 Gbps router port, for example, you get up to 1 Gbps. UGREEN states that PoE is supported on all lengths except the 65 ft version.
