The Microsoft Xbox Series S is the compact, all-digital Xbox console with a 512GB custom NVMe SSD. It targets 1440p gaming at up to 120 frames per second, and it comes with an Xbox Wireless Controller.

1440p gaming up to 120 FPS: The Series S is built for 1440p gaming resolution with a performance target of up to 120 FPS, and it supports HDR. Higher frame rates make fast games look and feel smoother, as long as the game and your TV or monitor support them.

Custom SSD for fast loading: Games are stored on a 512GB custom NVMe SSD for fast loading times. Together with 10GB of GDDR6 memory and a 4 TFLOPS custom RDNA 2 GPU, it is the hardware behind the console's next-generation performance.

HDMI gaming features: The console supports Auto Low Latency Mode, HDMI Variable Refresh Rate and AMD FreeSync. On a compatible TV or monitor these reduce input lag and screen tearing during play.

Good to know

The Xbox Series S is all-digital: it has no disc drive and does not play physical game discs, so games are downloaded. Up to 120 FPS requires supported games and a supported display.
