The Hikvision iDS-7204HUHI-M1/X is a 4-channel AcuSense DVR in a 1U case with one hard disk bay. It accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS and IP cameras, takes HDTVI and HDCVI cameras up to 8 MP, and records with H.265 Pro+ compression. AcuSense deep learning sorts motion into people and vehicles, and AcuSearch helps you find recorded events quickly.
5-in-1 inputs: Each of the 4 BNC inputs adapts to HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI or CVBS cameras. HDTVI and HDCVI cameras are accepted up to 8 MP (3840 × 2160), and AHD cameras up to 5 MP, so you can mix old and new analog cameras on one recorder.
Up to 8 MP recording: Encoding reaches 8 MP at 8 fps on channel 1, 8 MP Lite at 15 fps on channels 2 to 4, 3K or 5 MP at 12 fps and 4 MP at 15 fps. 1080p and lower resolutions record at 25 fps (PAL) / 30 fps (NTSC).
IP cameras too: Two IP cameras can be added (up to 6 channels), each up to 8 MP. With IP enhanced mode on, the recorder takes 4 IP channels (up to 8), each up to 4 Mbps.
Motion Detection 2.0 and AcuSearch: Deep learning classifies people and vehicles, which reduces false alarms from leaves, lights and similar movement. AcuSearch works on up to 4 channels, so you can search recordings by target instead of watching hours of video.
Facial recognition or perimeter protection: The recorder supports 2-channel facial recognition (face picture comparison alarm for HD analog cameras, up to 16 face libraries) or perimeter protection on up to 4 channels with human and vehicle analysis.
Storage and outputs: One SATA bay takes a disk of up to 12 TB. HDMI output goes up to 2K (2560 × 1440) and VGA up to 1920 × 1080, with simultaneous HDMI/VGA output.
Who it's for / Works with
Analog Turbo HD (HDTVI), AHD, HDCVI and CVBS cameras, plus IP cameras on the same recorder. Remote viewing works through Hik-Connect and DDNS, and the network protocols include ONVIF.
Good to know
- The hard disk is not included.
- 8 MP at 8 fps is available on channel 1 only; channels 2 to 4 record 8 MP Lite.
- AHD cameras are supported up to 5 MP (not 8 MP).
- The network port is 10/100 Mbps.
