The Hikvision iDS-7208HUHI-M1/XT is an 8-channel AcuSense DVR in a 1U case with one hard disk bay. It accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS and IP cameras, takes HDTVI and HDCVI cameras up to 8 MP, and outputs up to 4K over HDMI. AcuSense deep learning sorts motion into people and vehicles, and AcuSearch works on up to 8 channels.
5-in-1 inputs: Each of the 8 BNC inputs adapts to HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI or CVBS cameras. HDTVI and HDCVI cameras are accepted up to 8 MP (3840 × 2160) and AHD cameras up to 5 MP, so older and newer analog cameras can share one recorder.
Up to 8 MP recording: Encoding reaches 8 MP at 8 fps, 3K or 5 MP at 12 fps, 8 MP Lite at 15 fps and 4 MP at 15 fps. 1080p and lower resolutions record at 25 fps (PAL) / 30 fps (NTSC), compressed with H.265 Pro+ to save disk space.
IP cameras too: Eight IP cameras can be added (up to 16 channels), each up to 8 MP, and the recorder can decode up to 24 channels of 1080p at 30 fps.
Motion Detection 2.0 and AcuSearch: Deep learning classifies people and vehicles, which reduces false alarms caused by leaves, lights and similar movement. AcuSearch on up to 8 channels lets you search recordings by target instead of watching hours of video.
Face functions or perimeter protection: The recorder supports 4-channel facial recognition (face picture comparison alarm for HD analog cameras, up to 16 face libraries) and 4-channel face capture, or perimeter protection on up to 8 channels in the advanced model.
4K output and Gigabit network: HDMI output goes up to 4K (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz and VGA up to 1920 × 1080. The network port is Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps), with up to 64 remote connections.
Who it's for / Works with
Analog Turbo HD (HDTVI), AHD, HDCVI and CVBS cameras, plus IP cameras on the same recorder. Remote viewing works through Hik-Connect and DDNS, and the network protocols include ONVIF.
Good to know
- The hard disk is not included.
- AHD cameras are supported up to 5 MP (not 8 MP).
- 8 MP is recorded at 8 fps; for smoother video choose a lower resolution.
