The TP-Link Omada SM5110-SR (TL-SM5110-SR) is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for multi-mode fiber. It works at 850 nm and carries full-duplex 10 Gbps Ethernet up to 300 m over 50/125 µm fiber, or 33 m over 62.5/125 µm fiber, with an LC duplex connector.
10 Gbps short-reach fiber: Short-reach (SR) optics are a common choice for 10 Gbps links inside a building or data room, such as switch-to-switch or switch-to-server uplinks.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM): Supported switches can read live module data, which helps when checking and troubleshooting a fiber link.
Hot-swappable, SFP+ MSA: The module can be changed while the switch is running and follows the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement. TP-Link lists switches with 10G SFP+ ports, such as SG3428X and SG3428XMP, as compatible.
Who it's for / Works with: Switches with 10G SFP+ ports, such as the Omada SG3428X and SG3428XMP, connected over multi-mode fiber.
Good to know: This module is for multi-mode fiber only. The 300 m reach applies to 50/125 µm (OM3) fiber; with 62.5/125 µm fiber the limit is 33 m. The fiber patch cable is not included.
