The Hikvision iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT is a 16-channel AcuSense DVR in a 1U case with one hard disk bay. It accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS and IP cameras, takes analog cameras up to 5 MP (HDTVI and HDCVI also 3K), and records up to 3K / 5 MP Lite with H.265 Pro+ compression. AcuSense deep learning sorts motion into people and vehicles, and AcuSearch helps you find recorded events quickly.
5-in-1 inputs: Each of the 16 BNC inputs adapts to HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI or CVBS cameras. HDTVI and HDCVI accept up to 3K, and AHD up to 5 MP, so older and newer analog cameras can share one recorder.
Recording up to 3K / 5 MP Lite: The recorder encodes 3K Lite and 5 MP Lite at 12 fps and 4 MP Lite at 15 fps. With 1080p Lite mode enabled, 1080p Lite and lower record at 25 fps (PAL) / 30 fps (NTSC). H.265 Pro+ compression reduces the disk space each camera uses.
IP cameras too: Eight IP cameras can be added (up to 24 channels), each up to 6 MP, and the recorder can decode up to 24 channels of 1080p at 30 fps.
Motion Detection 2.0 and AcuSearch: Motion Detection 2.0 is on by default for all analog channels and classifies people and vehicles, which reduces false alarms caused by leaves, lights and similar movement. AcuSearch on 8 channels lets you search recordings by target instead of watching hours of video.
Face functions or perimeter protection: The recorder supports facial recognition on up to 4 analog channels (advanced model, up to 16 face libraries) or perimeter protection with human and vehicle analysis on up to 8 channels.
Outputs and remote view: HDMI output goes up to 4K (3840 × 2160) at 30 Hz and VGA up to 1920 × 1080. One SATA bay takes a disk of up to 12 TB. The network port is Gigabit, with up to 128 remote connections through Hik-Connect, DDNS and other protocols.
Who it's for / Works with
Analog Turbo HD (HDTVI), AHD, HDCVI and CVBS cameras, plus IP cameras on the same recorder. Remote viewing works through Hik-Connect and DDNS, and the network protocols include ONVIF.
Good to know
- The hard disk is not included.
- Analog inputs are up to 3K / 5 MP; this is not an 8 MP recorder.
